Nothing is more practical than
finding God, than
falling in Love
in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination, will affect everything.
It will decide
what will get you out of bed in the morning,
what you do with your evenings,
how you spend your weekends,
what you read, whom you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
Fall in Love, stay in love,
and it will decide everything.
I heard this a few weeks ago at my companion group meeting. I’ve heard the last two lines before but I never knew it came from something so wonderful as this. It doesn’t get more perfect than this. Love literally decides everything we do. But this love isn’t just any love. This love is the love of God. God wants us to show His love everywhere we go and in everything we do. Instead of going into great detail in this post, I’m going to direct you to another blog post I have from the CFJ here at school. It is my reflection of God’s love in the service we do everyday. You can find it here. Take a break today and read it and reflect on how you show God’s love every day.
