“Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength.”
I’ve always liked this quote. From someone who worries a lot, this quote puts worrying in perspective. All worrying ever does is make things worse. Worrying causes you to think about things that may never happen and causes you to then worry about those things until it becomes a domino effect, and an ugly one at that. Do your best not to worry about everything. One of my favorite bible verses is Philippians 4:6, “Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.” Whenever I start to worry a lot, I go to this verse and remember all I have to do is pray about what is worrying me and understand God has a plan and that everything will somehow work out. Take a break today and pray about what you have been worrying about and give it to God.
